How much does a Kidz Lidz® Salon cost?

It varies depending on your location, though a salon can be opened for as little as $150-175K.


What is the royalty for a Kidz Lidz® Salon?

6 percent of gross sales. Your royalties ensure that Kidz Lidz® is always on the “cutting” edge. Our philosophy is to continue to improve our systems and operations, making changes as we grow that make both your profit margin and enjoyment increase!

 

How often do I pay royalties?

Franchise Owners pay royalties weekly.

 

What percentage do I pay for advertising and what does that money cover?

You pay a total of 2% of your gross sales, after discounts, into the Kidz Lidz® advertising fund. These funds are used to buy national, regional and local advertising, fund market research and other activities designed to increase sales.

 

What are the marketing costs and what do they consist of?

The marketing levy is 2% of your turnover weekly turnover. This includes updates to the Kidz Lidz® website, all point of sale templates, i.e. logos, business card templates, in store promotional templates, and covers ongoing variations and changes to marketing material.

 

We have a standard look for our salons and the marketing levy is kept in a separate account and used when required to make adjustments to promotion material – tailoring it specifically to an individual salon.

 

We will provide marketing needs, from grand opening material to ongoing requirements. All our materials are readily available and can be customised for each location. Kidz Lidz® is constantly updating the available materials exclusively for our franchise systems.

 

How much is the franchise fee, and what do I get for it?

The franchise fee is $10,000. Included in this is your training program, pre-opening assistance for your company set up, marketing, fit-out assistance, operating manuals, and that learning curve we’ve referred too! For training you and your manager come to our headquarters for a full week, then we bring a stylist and trainer to your place for the week that you open. We help you set up the inventory, train your stylists, you, a manager, and receptionists.

 

What ongoing services do I get for my royalty payment?

You will get plenty of ongoing support! Lots of marketing and ongoing store systems have been put into place are are done for you. We have tried to take everything that hinders a small business owner from being able to do the things that bring business to your store off of your plate. In turn your salon will have potential to be much more successful.


What is the process to be awarded ownership in a Kidz Lidz® Salon?

The first step is to fill out the online form for more information. Next you will be contacted and discussions will begin.
After a qualification period you will be given our Franchise Disclosure Document.


Once you have reviewed this document we will have you physically visit a store if you have not done so yet and you can meet us in person and we can meet you!


If we decide that you would be a great fit for our system then we fill out a Franchise Agreement and you review this for at least a week and then decide to come on board if you would like.

 

Is financing available?

Although we do not provide financing directly, Kidz Lidz Salons® has taken significant steps to ease the process of financing your franchise investment.

 

To help you get started, we have developed relationships with several preferred lenders who offer competitive and flexible financing options.

 

What is the profitability of the business?

There is no simple answer to this question. There are many variables that make it impossible to predict future results with any certainty, including such factors as: sales, location, occupancy and operating costs, the financing terms, your ability to manage and control the business and other factors.

 

For these reasons, we do not predict sales, costs, or profits for any salon or network of stores, nor can we predict whether or to what extent you may succeed at a particular location.

 

Do you think I can own a Kidz Lidz® Salon?

This question can generally be answered after the application process and interview. Of course you should be able to manage a franchised business and deal with people, desire to market your Kidz Lidz® Salon, and really love working with children and staff who also love children.

 

How much will my Kidz Lidz® Salon make?

We do not predict profits as there are many factors including location, operating costs, financing terms, and your ability to manage. However, there are many advantages to being part of a Kidz Lidz® Salon.
